TCPS had six members present for this investigation and we were also joined again by one of the previous employees of the Palmer House. It was the general consensus by the end of the night that not much activity took place in comparison to the previous night’s investigation. Interestingly enough, we did capture more evidence on this night than previously when more activity and experiences occurred.
One of our groups experienced numerous audible sounds from the basement that could not be explained. Some of these include the sound of something being dragged down one of the hallways, growling, and the sound of someone being on one of the stair cases even though when the team checked out the stairs, there was no one there. There were also sounds of footsteps heard in one of the hallways and about five minutes later, one member from the group was touched on her arm. The next team to investigate the basement heard a female’s voice in the room whisper in her ear. This voice, unfortunately, was not captured on any of our audio recorders. This same team received numerous EMF spikes in correlation to questions being asked. At one point, one of the members had an EMF meter in her hand and asked if the spirit could follow her around the room and make the meter light up wherever she went. The meter lit up the entire time as the member moved around the room. While investigating the room with the stairs that lead up to the Pub, one member was touched. When the group left that area to go to the next room, they all felt they were being followed. The last group to investigate the basement also heard shuffling sounds outside of one of the rooms in the hallway. In this same room the group saw a shadow pass by the doorway even though they were the only two people in the basement. No activity was noted from the Main Floor.
Not much activity occurred on the Second Floor either. One of the team members investigating Room 11 was listening to a Frank’s box with headphones. The headphones were pulled off of her ears so hard they broke. No one saw what caused the headphones to come off of the investigator’s head. Another team was able to get some EMF responses when asking questions and about 4 minutes after the “conversation” began, the team heard a noise from the bathroom. It sounded as though someone was walking in there, but upon checking out the bathroom, the group found it empty.
While investigating Room 17 on the third floor, one team member could feel wisps of cold air around him. In fact the air was so cold there was a 5-6 degree difference between the air around the investigator and the temperature in the rest of the room. It should be noted that a similar experience happened to another investigator on our investigation in January in the same location. Other members also experienced the feelings of uneasiness and being trapped while in Room 17.
Final Analysis
TCPS did try to do some more debunking on this night of investigation at the Palmer House. A few members found some odd EMF patterns in a few different locations that could perhaps explain some of the EMF “responses” to questions that have happened within this site. We will continue to check out these anomalies and post any new information regarding these patterns. Regardless of these EMF patterns that can not be explained at this time, TCPS feels this does not explain away all of our own personal experiences, witnessed activity, or evidence we have found from the Palmer House Hotel. We still hold to the thought that the Palmer is indeed a haunted location.
