Reason for Investigation Request
This case came to us from TAPS. The two clients who own this property live there with their daughter and infant granddaughter. The owners have lived at this site for eight years. Some of the activity reported from this house included an alarm clock which seemed to go off on its own. The only way the clients could make it stop was by unplugging it. The owners then purchased a new alarm clock (completely different brand than the previous one) and the same thing occurred with the new alarm clock. Doors within the home would also seem to come open through out the night that was previously known to be closed. One of the clients stated she was down in the basement doing laundry when she felt she was gently touched on her buttocks even though she was the only one in the basement at the time. The clients also report seeing a half body apparition and smelling the smell of lotion within the house. The owners state the lotion smell was not that of any of the lotions that they use or that would have been in the house. There are also several touch lamps within the home that seem to go on and off repeatedly.
Research and Background on the Property

Investigation Details
Weather Conditions
Temperature: 14°F
Dew Point: 2.2°
Wind: 10-15 mph
Moon: 91% Full
Team arrived at 9:00 pm to the home. Clients then left taking with them the dog while we were doing the investigation.
Team started investigation by doing routine baseline readings of Temperature and EMF.
62 degrees Ambient
EMF readings: .5-1
By the laundry machine: 4.6-5
Copper Pipes far wall: 42-46
One recorder was placed in this room. EMF's in this area were ranging .4 - .7 Ambient temps in the area were 62 degrees. Another recorder was placed on the bar area. We began with 10 minutes of silence to get the feel of the room and then began doing EVP work. There was a heavy atmosphere in the basement during our time here.
During our time in the basement we did experience multiple cold/hot spots but there were no temperature fluctuations found in those areas. There were multiple times that one investigator heard a voice and wheezing not attributed to any of the investigators present. This investigator also had the experience of pain in her head in the area by the television.
We did get EMF fluctuations in response to requests to do so. Mainly this was found in the area of “Johnny's” room. This occurred on three occasions when asked. No other experiences occurred.
We did do a second sitting in the basement but the atmosphere had changed to a more normal one and we had no experiences on the second basement round.
1st Floor:
The team began with Baseline readings throughout the first floor area.
Ambient Temp: 62 degrees throughout first floor
EMF: 0 by the TV./recorder .5 – 1.3
EMF: 3.1 in hallway, possible copper pipes coming up through ceiling
EMF: 1.5 in small bedroom
EMF: 1.0 to 3.5 in master bedroom
2 alarm clocks:
1: alarm clock EMF 35.0 went up to 100+
2: alarm clock EMF of 3.0.
One recorder was placed in the master bedroom and a second recorder was placed in the living room. Also a video camera was placed pointing in the direction of the hallway where the apparition was seen. All the doors to the other rooms were closed tightly to see if they would open on there own. 10 minutes of silence was initiated.
During our time on the 1st floor one of the investigators experienced extreme anxiety and feelings of panic. This went on for approximately one hour. Another investigator heard breathing behind her. She also heard wheezing again on this floor also not attributed to the other investigators. This investigator also had experience of the feeling of anxiety for a short period of time. There was an incident where two investigators began smelling the scent of lotion in the dining room. She described the scent as that of a lotion her grandmother used to wear. We moved to the master bedroom and while sitting in there an investigator noticed a black shadow move along the floor. They described it as looking like a cat although the owners do not have a cat. We also heard in this room a “meow” which could not be explained.
No other experiences were reported and no fluctuations of readings were found.
Final Analysis
TCPS was able to capture a few EVP’s from this site and a possible breath sound on video. At this time we do not feel this house can be labeled as haunted, but do feel the case warrants further investigation. The team plans on going back to this location in March and we will keep you updated on this case at that point.
